Lizzie – Creamy Cleansing Balm wrapped in Emily: a scarf made of pure Italian silk.

Emily is a silk scarf 90×90 size, 100% Hand Made in Italy. You can use it as a scarf or as a turban. It will get to you as a Furoshiki, a ‘wrapping’ for our Lizzie in respect of the Japanese tradition.

Lizzie is a creamy makeup remover for face, eyes and lips.

It’s a rinse-off product, designed to remove makeup in one single gesture and effective even for waterproof makeup. Suitable for all skin types including the most sensitive, for oncological and dermatology patients. Formulated with natural ingredients that respect both the environment and the skin microbiota.

Lizzie is sold in a handy travel-friendly 50ml jar, with a complimentary bleached fine silk sponge to help during the cleansing ritual. It comes as part of a duo with Emily.

90×90 scarf in fine Italian silk produced and sewn in one of the workshops of the Cooperative Alice in Milan, a non-profit cooperative seeking to build an inclusive society that empowers individuals and supports sustainable development through craftsmanship and ethics.

The Cooperative is active in the detention facilities of San Vittore, Bollate, Monza, in which oversees the labour re-integration of female inmates through the external laboratory Sartoria San Vittore, which also welcomes those who emerge from situations of violence and difficulty.

The project carried out for Breast Cancer Awareness Month goes hand in hand with the collaboration between Laura Portomeo, founder of the brand, and the Association FraParentesi, which for years has been supporting oncological patients sharing a new way to see life after the diagnosis, as a parenthesis and not as the main aspect of it, giving hope to those starting the journey and those already walking the path. Through the website and an ever-expanding network of professionals, the Association offers answers, in-depth analysis, ideas and services to support people facing the diagnosis and their families.

Laura Portomeo is part of this beautiful support network, providing her expertise in the field of Make Up and Skincare with articles, videos and lessons, in order to bring help and comfort to women who live with this condition.

You can use it as a scarf or as a turban. Silk is particularly recommended for sensitive skins and to hold the hair in place during the night to protect the blow-dry and prevent frizz.

Lizzie:

Remove the clear cap and lightly press on the dispenser with your fingers to release a small amount of product (a walnut-sized amount)
Using your fingers massage one pump of product onto dry skin and eyes
Create an emulsion adding water and keep massaging it in for a few seconds
Remove with the supplied sponge previously soaked and softened in lukewarm water
Gently dab the skin with a towel, then carry on with your usual skincare routine.

If you’re wearing waterproof or especially heavy makeup, we recommend using two pumps, one for the eyes and one for the face, and gently massage it in, addressing the areas separately.

WHAT’S NOT IN IT: Lizzie is free of sulfates, parabens, colorants, alcohol, additional fragrance, silicone, paraffin, mineral oil and derivatives, petrolatum, peg, ppg, vaseline, nanomaterials, propylene glycol, dea, tea, disodium edta, acrylates, phenoxyethanol, formaldehyde-releasers.

We really care for environmental sustainability and for this reason we do not use products that are classified as persistent organic pollutants. We favor raw materials that are as biodegradable as possible in order to prevent deforestation and minimize our impact on the environment. Our products are microplastic-free.4

Features of Lizzie: Our cleanser respects and positively affects the skin microbiota. Cleanses the skin by affinity, preserving its natural hydro-lipid film. It does not require double cleanse.

Features of Emily: Natural silk contains various proteins that have positive effects on the skin. In addition to it, it’s smooth and extremely light on the skin, doesn’t cause chafing, it’s hypoallergenic, breathable and durable. For this reasons it’s suitable for all skin types.
